Matt Winslow is a native North Carolinian from the northeastern part of our great state. His first paid job at sixteen years old was cleaning out hog houses, as the grandson of a multi-generational farmer, it was something he felt qualified to do. Born to a teen mom, Matt knows what it’s like to depend on the government for basic needs, but he also saw how hard his mother worked to be able to eventually support her family without assistance. That kind of upbringing made him not only compassionate for others, but it drove him to overcome adversity.
